June 22, 1970 JACOBS--Dies - Henry Major Jacobs, 82, died Sunday evening at Behlen Memorial Hospital with funeral services pending at McKown Funeral Home. JACOBS--Henry Jacobs rite will be Wednesday Henry M. Jacobs, 82, longtime resident of Bellwood and Columbus, died Sunday at Behlen Memorial Hospital after a lingering illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in McKown Funeral Home with Lowell Jones officiating. Burial will be in Bellwood Cemetery, and the body will lie in state in the funeral home after 1 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Jacobs was born March 22, 1888, in Knox County, Nebraska. Son of Henry C. and Julia (Rice) Jacobs. He was married on July 8, 1908 to Rosa A. Bock in Sioux City, Iowa. She died in Dec. 8, 1928. Survived by five children: Mrs. Harry (Harriett) Nauenburg, Ronald and Franklin of Columbus, Mrs. Orville (Julia) Enyeart of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Edward (Leola) Jakub of Schuyler. He was married Pearl E. Hosner, Feb 13, 1931 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They had these children: Henry Jr. and Wayne of Columbus, Marion of Colby, Kans., Harold and Bernard of Capistrano Beach, Calif., Jerry, Mrs. Kenneth (June) Hilmer and Mrs. Ivan (Rose) Heesacker of Omaha, Keith of Laurel, David of Iowa, Mrs. Gary (Linda) Becker of North Platte, and Marie Jacobs of Omaha. Also surviving are his wife Pearl Jacobs of Omaha; 29 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Fritz (Della) Gensichen of Sioux City, Mrs. Roy (Evie) Brink of Neligh and Mrs. Irene Doan of Walnut, Calif. June 25, 1970 JACOBS--Funeral - Last Rites for Henry M. Jacobs, 82, who died Sunday were Wednesday at McKown Funeral Home with Rev. Lowell Jones officiating. Burial was in Bellwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Schacker, Laird Will, Fred Irwin, Lawrence C. Torczon, Lonnie Kuta and Jerry Karpisek. Mr. Jacobs was married to Pearl Hosner Feb. 13, 1931, in Council Bluffs, Ia. Mr. Jacobs was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter; Henrietta Jacobs and two sons; Kenneth and James Jacobs, seven brothers, two sisters and one grandson.
