Bio
Born in house #9, village of Samikovice, town of Hrotovice, county of Znojmo, Moravia, Austrian Empire (now in the Czech Republic), the son of Anton Juranek and his wife Antonia Dobes. Settled in Butler County, Nebr. in 1877. '''''''''''''''''''''''''' Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), January 11, 1912, p. 13, col. 2 Edholm Frank Juranek, Sr., who has been sick for some time, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Anton Brezina Friday morning. The funeral services were held at the Abie church Sunday morning. Since his wife's death, which occurred about ten years ago, he has been living in Linwood. He leaves nine children, one daughter died a few years ago. Linwood Another of our pioneers has passed away. This time it is Frank Juranek, Sr., who died on Friday, January 5th. Mr. Juranek has been failing for a year or so and about two months ago went to the home of his daughter Mrs. Anton Brezina. He seemed to be getting better and death came suddenly. Funeral took place from the home of Anton Brezina Sunday morning. Rev. Father Nemec officiated. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery near Abie.
