Fremont Guide and Tribune (Fremont, Nebr.), December 31, 1957, p. 3, col. 7 & 8 Leopold Juranek Services Held SCHUYLER – Services for Leopold Juranek, 86, retired farmer were Monday at Bideaux Chapel and also at St. Mary's Church in Linwood. Rosary was held at Bideaux's Chapel. Mr. Juranek died Friday. Mr. Juranek, who had been ill about a month, was born Oct. 4, 1871 at Moravia, Czechoslovakia. When he was 10 he moved with his parents to a farm seven miles southwest of Linwood where he lived all his life until 1945 when he retired to Schuyler. On Feb. 20, 1900 he married Mary C. Brezina at David City. She survives. Other survivors are sons William and Bedrick of David City, Leo of Linwood, Albin of Bellwood, daughter Mrs. Joseph (Anna) Rezac of Venango, brother Henry of Atkinson, sister Mrs. Anton (Christina) Brezina of Schuyler, 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, son, daughter, and one grandchild. Pallbearers were nephews, Frank Brezina, James Brezina, William Roh, James Mazenak, Edward Cipera and Rudolph Kavan. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery at Linwood. Bideaux Mortuary had charge.
