Herman Schroer Sr. is Called By Death Relatives here received word Tuesday of the death of Herman Schroer who passed away at 10:00 o'clock that morning in St. Marys Hospital in Emporia Kans at the age of 78 years. He was an early pioneer of this community, and for some years lived at Olpe Kans, but again returned to Lawrence to spend his declining years making his home with his son Joe Schroer and & family. Although advanced in years Mr Schroer was always active and enjoyed visiting with his many friends. He was taken seriously ill about 4 months ago, and a month ago was taken to a hospital in Emporia, where two of his daughters live in the hope that expert nursing might ease his sufferings. Funeral Services will be held on Friday morning in Olpe Kans, Herman H. Jos. Schroer left Wednesday to attend their fathers Funeral.
