Norfolk Daily News; Norfolk, Nebraska; Monday, December 6, 1976; Page 15 Dahlkoetter Services Are Planned Services for William F. Dahlkoetter, 85, retired Norfolk area farmer, will be conducted Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church. The Rev. R. L. Jobman will officiate and burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. The body will not lie in state, but may be viewed prior to services at the church. Mr. Dahlkoetter died Saturday at Valley View Lodge where he had resided the past two years. Prior to that, his home had been at 1405 S. Third St. Mr. Dahlkoetter was born Jan. 17, 1891, at Arlington to Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dahlkoetter. He was baptized in February 1891 and was confirmed April 16, 1905. He later moved to Pilger and in 1935, to a farm southeast of Norfolk. In 1949, he moved into Norfolk. Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret Rathman, to whom he was married Nov. 14, 1917, at Pilger, six children, Alvin, Robert and Mrs. Gene (Wilma) Palmer, all of Norfolk, Donald of Columbus, Ellen and Mrs. Bud (Joann) Hrabak of Stanton, 18 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one brother and two sisters, Walter of Stanton, Mrs. Martha Aurich of Beemer, and Mrs. Annie Aurich of Dalton. Mr. Dahlkoetter was preceded in death by one son, Ralph, who was killed in World War II. all spelling and punctuation as it appeared in the paper. (GH)
