EDWARD ZELENY Funeral services for Edward Zeleny, 83, of Hooper, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. He died Tuesday at Hooper Care Center. Mr. Zeleny was born November 9, 1903, in Bruno. He lived most of his life in the Bruno and Prague areas. He worked for the Butler County Roads Department as a maintainer operator before his retirement. He lived in Wahoo for two years before moving to the Hooper Care Center. Mr. Zeleny married Bessie Ptacek July 25, 1923, at Plasi. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Eugene of Arlington and Leonard of Colon, one daughter, Hilda Grover of Omaha, two sisters, Elsie Pohl of David City and Helen Lance of Downey, California, nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The Rev. Audrey Scott will officiate at Friday's service. Visitation will be 5 to 8 tonight and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery at Bruno. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
