The Schuyler Sun (Schuyler, Nebr.), February 23, 1928, p. 4, col. 3 BRUNO RESIDENT DEAD Miss Katherina Kopececk, 51, died very suddenly at 7 o'clock, Tuesday morning, death being caused by heart failure. While about her morning household duties, Miss Kopececk fell against the kitchen stove and when her brother Anton arrived, she was dead. Mr. Kopecek was returning to the residence from doing his morning work, his sister having entered the house a few minutes before him, and when she entered the house, collapsed and fell to the floor. The deceased and her brother, Anton, made their home on a farm near Bruno and she had lived in that community practically all her life. Funeral services are being held today, Thursday, from the Appleton church, southwest of Octavia and interment in the Appleton cemetery. Miss Kopecek died of heart failure on Tuesday morning while preparing breakfast. She was born in the United States on May 20, 1877, and died at the family home on February 21, 1928. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church at Appleton with interment in the Appleton cemetery.
