Bio
Born in the village of Vranin, town of Mor. Budej., county of Znojmo, Moravia, Austrian Empire (now in the Czech Republic). Immigrated to the United States from Moravia with his wife, four oldest children, and his wife's parents and maternal grandmother on the SS Leipzig which arrived in Baltimore, Maryland from Bremen, Germany on April 20, 1874. Simon Wahla (age 57, workman), Antonia (50), Katharina (24), Victoria Chocholons (77), Anton Kopecek (age 36, economist), Maria (29), Francisca (9), Maria (7), Antonia (5), and Josefa (11 months).
