Bio
A prayer card states that she was born in 1887. Suggested edit: I have that her birth is 1887, so the stone must be incorrect. Her obituary also states that she was 87 when she died, which would make her birth 1887. Contributor: Jennifer Faust (47308726) [1975-87=1888, 1887+87=1974] 7 Feb 2022: Some birthdates are carved years before the death. Obituaries can contain typos or misinformation due to human error. People who pay good money for cemetery monuments do not often pay for mistakes. 25 Feb 2022: When I assumed management of Shirley Bruhn Martys' memorials, I agreed to politely accept edits and requests for transfers from family members. Shirley's original memorial used the 1885 birthdate on the monument, but I am accepting today's edit.
