The Banner-Press (David City, Nebraska) 25 Nov 1965, Thu Page 7 Clara Pavel Funeral Services Held Nov. 16 Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, Nov. 16, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Utica, for Clara Pavel, 66, who died Nov. 13 at Lincoln after a lingering illness. Burial was in Assumption Cemetery, Dwight. Clara Pavel, the daughter of Matthew and Anna Hotovy, was born July 27, 1899, at Dwight. She married Joseph Pavel on Oct. 18, 1921. Eight children were born to this union. She leaves her husband, Joseph; two sons, Joseph A. Gresham and Raymond, Staplehurst; six daughters, Mrs. Alois (Marie) Hottovy, Brainard, Mrs. Leo (Anne) Rau, Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Adolph (Margaret) Spatz, Bee, Mrs. Kenneth (Angela) Klein, Seward and Mrs. Don (Marcella) Stava, Weston; 24 grandchildren; three brothers, Joseph Hotovy, David City, Ludvik Hotovy, Dwight and Mike Hotovy, Bee; and four sisters, Mrs. Stazy Lavicky, Dwight, Mrs. Joseph Dobesh, Seward, Mrs. Rose Hofpar, Loma, and Lillian Hotovy, David City.
