'''''''''''''''''''' The Ulysses Dispatch ( Ulysses, Nebr.), May 3, 1928, p. 1, col. 1 THE OBITUARY OF MRS. MARY HRUZA Ulysses friends were shocked and deeply grieved when news came that Mrs. Mary Hruza formerly of near Ulysses had passed away at the General hospital in Lincoln on the evening of April 24. Mary Margaret Korinek was the daughter of Mrs. Mary Korinek and the late James Korinek and was born near Dwight on January 31st, 1902. She had spent almost her entire life near Ulysses, where, owing to her genial personality and kindly disposition, she had endeared herself to all with whom she came in contact. She was ever ambitious and energetic and prior to her marriage was a valued helper in the home assisting her mother in the care of the younger children and with other important matters pertaining to the welfare of the household. She was the wife of Mr. Frank Hruza near Agnew and leaves her husband and fifteen month's old son also a two week's old baby girl to mourn her early going. There are also her mother and two sisters Laura and Rose Korinek with two brothers, James and Joseph, together with her many other relatives who "oft will long for the touch of a vanished hand and sigh for the voice that is still." Deceased became very ill a few days before her death and was taken to the General hospital where everything was done for her restoration but, death's angle [angel] beckoned her to a better world. Thus gone from our midst, a young life of 26 years who was an affectionate wife and loving mother, a dutiful daughter a beloved sister and a loyal friend. The heartfelt sympathy of the entire community goes to the sorrowing relatives in their bereavement. The remains were taken from Lincoln to her home near Agnew where Rev. Father Kazcmarek of Valparaiso had charge of the funeral services on Friday April 27. Burial was made by the side of her father in the Catholic cemetery at Dwight when Rev. Father Suesser of Dwight conducted the committal service, many friends being present at both services. "Eternal Rest grant unto her O Lord, and may Light Perpetual shine upon her." E. B. L.
