Married John Hromas on April 30, 1901 at David City, Nebr. by a County Judge. ''''''''''''''''' The Banner-Press (David City, Nebr.), April 26, 1960, p. 6B, col. 5 Services Held For Mrs. Anna Hromas Funeral services were conducted at Assumption Church, Dwight, on April 8, for Mrs. Anna Hromas, 78. She died at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Hromas, Ulysses, on April 5 after a lingering illness of about two years. The Rev. W. Beranek officiated at the High Mass and music was by the adult church choir. Pallbearers were Ed Hromas, Bernard Kobza, Irvin, Ivan and Alfred Cidlik and Jim Divis. Burial was in the Dwight Catholic Cemetery. Anna Cidlik Hromas, daughter of John and Mary Cidlik, was born May 16, 1881, in Czechoslovakia. She came to this country at the age of six weeks. She resided in Saunders County for two years and the remainder of her life was spent in Butler County. She was a member of Dwight Assumption Catholic Church. On April 30, 1901, she was married to John Hromas at David City. Two children were born to them, Emil of Ulysses, and Mary Mashek of Richard, Mo. Besides her son and daughter, she is survived by four brothers, John, Frank and Anton Cidlik, all of Dwight, and Adolph of David City; four sisters, Mary Prech, Ulysses, Victoria Divis, Bee, Frances Cink, Lidgerwood, N. D., and Emma Hirman, Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, her parents, a daughter-in-law, Helen Hromas, and grandson, Elmer Hromas.
