Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent Friday, 10 March 1922, page 5 Mortuary Mrs. Emma S. Johnson, residing in the northwestern part of the city, passed away at the St. Francis hospital at 8:30 A. M. Friday after a rather extended illness at the age of 64 years. She was taken to the hospital about ten days ago where she underwent a slight operation but all efforts to relieve her were futile. Surviving her are four daughters, Mrs. G. W. Penington, Mrs. W. B. Smith, Misses Caroline and Edith Johnson, and four sons, Oscar, William, Lee and Albert Johnson, as also two brothers, Charles and Peter Larson. Her husband and two sons preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held from the home on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
