MRS. EDWARD COUFAL Sedalia Rose M. Coufal, Quincy, wife of Edward died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Bothwell Hospital. She was born August 30, 1900 at Brainard, Nebraska, daughter ofJoseph F. and Anna Vovacek Sypal. She and Mr. Coufal lived in Nebraska until 1940 when they came to Missouri. In 1952 they moved to Pettis County and came to Sedalia in 1961. Mrs. Coufal was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar Society. Surviving are the husband, daughter, Mary Rhodes, Omaha, Nebraska, son, Ray Coufal, 1107 West Third, four sisters, Agnes Hotovy Dwight, Nebraska, Mildred Shonka, Ithica, Nebraska, Anna Kudlacek, Omaha. Nebraska, Marie Pleskac, Ulysses, Nebraska, four brothers. Adolph and Joseph Sypal, Omaha, Nebraska, and Milo and Valerian Sypal, Brainard Nebraska, four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Helen Hamsa. The rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at McLaughlin's Chapel. The body was sent at noon Monday, by Missouri-Pacific rail road to Brainard, Nebraska. Services Wednesday morning and burial. From the Sedalia Democrat, Sedalia, Missouri, Monday, June 24, 1963
