Age 85. Census and/or cemetery records and the stone list name as Joseph Grubaugh and birth year as 1861. I have edited it to read the proper information from below as well as info from the Santa Clara County Historical & Genealogical Society's page entries for Williams Funeral Home Books, but maintained the name "Joseph" as a nickname since that's the name listed on the stone. Josephine Abney was born 20 Jun 1860 in Quincy, Adams, IL to David Abney and Amanda Cline. She married William Jefferson Grubaugh (#7120195) on 21 Mar 1877 in Adams County, IL. They had five children, all girls, two of them dying at a very early age, Adeline Grubaugh (1878-1880) and Emily Grubaugh (1884-1885). Their other three children were: Musetta May Grubaugh Bunting (1880-1969); Mary Gibbs Grubaugh Gelston (#55651761) - (1883-1953); and Nellie Cibell Grubaugh Carman Carpenter (#3559112)- (1887-1972). After her husband died in 1904, Josephine spent a good portion of her life living with her daughter, Nellie. The final 10+ years of her life were spent at the Odd Fellows Home for the Aged in Saratoga where she died. (biography information submitted by Dick Holmes #47081971)
