Bio

The Independent, Robertsdale, Alabama, May 2, 1984 Mr. Calvin Childress, age 75, a native of Chilton County, Ala. and a resident of Summerdale died April 24, 1984. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Childress of Summerdale; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Davis of Summerdale, Mrs. Bonnie Peterson of Summerdale, Mrs. Ida Walker of Mulberry, Ark; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Brock of Loxley, Mrs. Sue Amos of Pensacola, Mrs. Carolyn White of Robertsdale, and Mrs. Pearl Burroughs of Loxley; four brothers, Ted Childress of Orange Beach, Rube Childress of Loxley, Dr. Ace Childress of Foley, and Carl Childress of Mobile; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held April 27, 1984 at 2pm from the Chapel of Mack Funeral Home with Rev. Richard P. Reedy officiating. Mack Funeral Home, Robertsdale, Ala. was in charge of arrangements.
