CHILDRESS Carl Davis Childress, age 61, a native of Chilton County, Ala., and a resident of Mobile and former resident of Loxley, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1987. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Childress, Mobile; two step-daughters, Charyle D. Brocher and Sandra Faye Baker, both of Mobile; three step-sons, Thomas Marshall Sickman, Brooklyn, Miss.; James H. Baker III and Rodney Dale Baker, both of Mobile; four sisters, Carolyn White, Robertsdale; Mary Brock and Pearl Burroughs, both of Loxley; and Sue Amason, Milton, Fla.; three brothers, Rube Childress, Loxley; Ted Childress, Orange Beach, Ala.; and Dr. A.C. Childress, Foley, Ala. and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 5, 1987 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Mack Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Spencer officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Loxley. Funeral arrangements were by Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale. Published December 9, 1987, The Independent, Robertsdale, Alabama
