Bio

LA CROSSE - Emma L. Schlegel, 86, died March 1, 1990, at Rush County Memorial Hospital, La Crosse. She was born Feb. 29, 1904, at Milligan, Neb., the daughter of Joseph and Barbara Durhanek Ondrak. A resident of Rush County for 13 years, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and 60 Plus, both of La Crosse. She married Harry P. Schlegel at Fairbury, Neb. He died in 1980. Survivors include: two daughters, Doris Lee Bakken, El Paso, Texas, and Barbara Olene Sivas, Thomson, Ga.; a son, Robert Lee Myers, Bird City; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse, with the Rev. Jim Bush presiding. Burial will be in the La Crosse City Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the United Methodist Church or 60 Plus, both at La Crosse, both in care of the funeral home. Hutchinson News, March 2, 1990
