La Crosse — Harry Philip Schlegel, 64, died Thursday at St. Anthony's Hospital, Hays. Born Jan. 12, 1916, he married Emma Ondrack Oct. 25, 1947 at Fairbury, Neb. He was a retired employee of United States Bureau of Mines, Keyes, Okla. and lived most of his life in Rush County. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, La Crosse. Survivors: son: Robert Myers, Bird City; daughters: Mrs. Doris Bakken, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; Mrs. Barbara Sivas. Thompson, Ga.; brothers: John, Fred, Sam, all of Otis; Pete, Kiowa; Herby, Stockton, Texas; Lesley, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Elmer, La Crosse; sisters: Mrs. Anna Hanhardt, Hoisington; Mrs. Sussana Ochs, Rogers, Ark.; Mrs. Lydia Koch, Green Bay, Wise; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse, the Rev. Henry Murray officiating. Burial at La Crosse Cemetery. Hutchinson News November 29, 1980
