Son of Walter P. and Vlasta (Marek) Petrosky, Korean veteran
Walter W. Petrosky, 64, of Columbus, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 1994, in a Houston hospital. Born July 2, 1930, in Blessing, he was the son of Walter P. and Vlasta (Marek) Petrosky, and had lived most of his life in the Columbus area. On June 25, 1955, he married Shirley Girndt. Mr. Petrosky was a retired employee of the Texas Highway Department. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus and a veteran of the Korean War. Funeral services were held Sept. 23 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Dan Kahlich officiating. Interment followed at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Henneke Funeral Home, Columbus. Serving as pallbearers were James Untermeyer, Albert Huebel, Wilbert Taylor, Raymond Untermeyer, Edward Faldyn and Billy Joe Malatek. Mr. Petrosky is survived by his wife of Columbus; sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Deborah Petrosky of Columbus, Dennis and Rhonda Petrosky of Katy and James Petrosky, also of Columbus; sisters, Eleanor Sladecek of Temple, Ellie [Lillie] Sladecek of Granger and Dorothy Mulvey of El Paso; brothers, Lee Petrosky of Huntsville, Edward Simon Petrosky of Eddy and Leonard Petrosky of St. Peters, Mo. and granddaughter Simone Nicole Petrosky.
