Mrs. Hilda Effle, 72, Dies; Rites Tuesday Funeral services for Mrs. Hilda Effle, 72, who died Saturday, April 16, at a Norfolk hospital, were conducted Tuesday morning at the First Methodist Church in Creighton. The Rev. David T. Gustafson of Oshkosh, a former pastor of the Creighton Church, officiated at the services. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers, all grandsons of the deceased, were Bruce, James, Donald, Richard, Gerald and Robert Effle. Hilda Louis Kamman, daughter of Fred and Louise Kamman, was born May 18, 1893 at Chicago, Ill. When she was six years old she accompanied her parents to the Venus community. She attended school near Winnetoon. She was united in marriage to Ben Effle on Jan. 22, 1913 at Center. Three sons and one daughter were born to them, the daughter dying in infancy. After Mr. Effle's death May 10, 1948, she remained on the farm for two years. She moved into Creighton in 1950. Mrs. Effle was baptized and later confirmed in the Methodist Church. She was a member of the WSCS and American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed good health up to the time of her short illness. Surviving are three sons, Harold, Lester and Vernon, all of the Creighton community; 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
