Obituary by his niece (Ron and Ann Miller White) OBITUARY: Lloyd Martin Miller, son of William and Tillie (Matilda Troyer) Miller, was born September 25, 1906 at Beaver Crossing, Nebraska and passed away December 16, 1986 at the age of 80 years, 2 months, and 21 days at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. He attended school in Beaver Crossing where he graduated in 1924. On December 11, 1929, he was united in marriage to Fannie Godding. This marriage was blessed with two daughters, Lavonne Joosten of Estes Park, Colorado and Sharon Francisco of Dallas, Texas. He worked for the Lincoln Telephone Company for 35 years and retired in 1969 when he and his wife, Fannie, moved back to Beaver Crossing. They spent the next 14 years wintering in Weslaco, Texas. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Beaver Crossing, Nebraska and the Lincoln Telephone Pioneers Association. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara Smetter and Minnie Roth; two brothers, Wilbur Miller and Leslie Miller; and one grandson, Michael Joosten. He is survived by his wife Fannie, four brothers, Homer, Lyle, and Floyd of Beaver Crossing and Henry of Oak Harbor, Washington. He is also survived by two sisters, Laura Otto of Beaver Crossing and Wilma Dolan of Modesto, California; two daughters, Lavonne and Sharon; four grandchildren, Lorrain McCown of Estes Park, Colorado; David Joosten of Lincoln; Sheryll Abernathy of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Mark Minteer of Grand Junction, Colorado, and eight great-grandchildren.
