~*~ Vivian Maxine Cartwright Smittle ~*~ (June 10, 1924 ~ April 25, 2003) Vivian Maxine Cartwright Smittle, 78, of Columbus, died Friday, April 25, 2003, at St. John's Regional Medical Center of Joplin, Mo., following a period of ill health. She was born June 10, 1924, to John H. and Minnie Dockstader Cartwright. She graduated from Mineral High School. On July 10, 1943, she married Floyd "Boe" Smittle. He survives of the home. They made their home at Columbus all their married life. She did accounting and was an accredited medical records technician. She was a supporter of Columbus Library and Genealogy Society. Additional survivors include three daughters, Pene Kassler, of Pittsburg, Debe Lucian, of Columbus, and Carol Hays, of Kansas City; one sister, Hazel Speer, of Columbus; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Dale Cartwright. ~*~
