"Mary Jane Cox Peterson". The Salt Lake Tribune (Salt Lake City, Utah), October 24, 1951, Page 47. "Lehi--Mrs. Mary Jane Cox Peterson, 85, died Tuesday at 4:30 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lester Colledge, Lehi, of causes incident to age. She was born July 4, 1866, at Lehi, a daughter of Edward F. and Hanna[h] Ashton Cox. She was married to Christian Peterson in the Salt Lake Endowment House, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He died in 1905. She had resided at Lehi, Cherry Creek and Deseret, Millard County. She was a married of the LDS Church, and an active worker in the Mutual Improvement Assn. and Relief Society. Survivors include two sons and three daughters: Ivor L. Peterson, Santa Rosa, Cal.; Orin Peterson and Mrs. Lester Colledge, Lehi; Mrs. Mary P. Moss, Seattle, and Mrs. Allen Tucker, Salt Lake City; two sisters, Mrs. Maud Vond, Pico, Cal., and Mrs. Ida Austin, Salt Lake City; 30 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at A.H. Wing Mortuary Thursday and Friday prior to services. Burial will be in Lehi City Cemetery." "Funeral Today For Mary J. Cox Peterson". The Lehi Free Press (Lehi, Utah), October 25, 1951, Page 4. "Funeral services will be held Friday (today) at 1 p.m. in the First Ward chapel, for Mrs. Mary Jane Cox Peterson, 85, who died Tuesday. Bishop R. Ward Webb will officiate. Friends may call at the A.H. Wing Mortuary until time of services. Burial will take place in the Lehi cemetery. Mrs. Peterson died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Lester Colledge, of causes incident to age.".
