WELL KNOWN NAPLES WOMAN PASSES AWAY Alice H. Cox Karren, wife of John D. Karren died at her home in Naples February 13, 1920, of a complication of diseases of which she had been a sufferer for the last fifteen years and a confirmed invalid for the last eight years. The end came in a peaceful sleep so much different from the agony she suffered days before. Alice H. Cox was born in Lehi, Utah, November 4, 1858 and died February 13, 1920. She married John D. Karren in Lehi and in 1882 moved to Naples, living on their homestead ever since. There are twelve living children and one boy dead. Their children are all living in Ashley Valley. Mrs. John Watkins of Naples; Mrs. Vern McCarrell of Ashley; Mrs. Myrtle Woodruff and Mrs. Hanna Winward of Glines; Bertha Nellie and Erma are girls at home; Hugh, Jacob, James and Merrill are married and living in Naples. Andie is the only one at home. Sisiter Karren was a faithful Latter-Day Saint and the sympathy of the entire community goes out to mourn her loss. Funeral services were held Sunday at the graveside. Bishop F. R. Remington presiding. The speakers were James M. Shaffer, John N. Davis and President Don B. Colton. Beautiful music was rendered by the Naples double quartet. The grave was dedicated by Ed Watkins.
