Suggested edit: Charles W. Nelson 11 Apr 1947 - Funeral rites for Charles W. Nelson, age 89, who expired at his home following a long illness, were held at Old Pleasant Hill Baptist church 2 p.m. March 31 by Rev. C. W. Martin. Interment was directed by Massingill funeral home. Mr. Nelson was a life-long resident of Sabine Parish. Surviving are : sons, C. A. Nelson, Willie Nelson and Jim Nelson, all of Florien; daughters, Mrs .Nettie Brown, Negreet, Miss Emma Nelson, Florien and Mrs. Bertha Speights; 15 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
