Bio

Daughter of John B. & Mary (Zelazny) Cuba. Married to Joseph Tarnick on 2-24-1908 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church located in the Krakow area of Nance County, NE. From the St. Peter & Paul Church (Krakow)(1993) Book: ---------------------------------------------- Mrs. Joe Tarnick, 44, died suddenly Sunday night at her home southeast of Fullerton. 100 members of the local CCC camp and 25 men from Fullerton armed with shovels broke through the snow-blocked roads so that wagons and teams could come from Fullerton and trasporta an embalmer and undertaking supplies to the isolated home. Mrs. Tarnick is survived by her husband, eight daughters, Mrs. Dominic Swertzic, living near the home of her parents, and Mae, Clara, Emma, Evelyn, Loretta, Elizabeth, and Rose, all at home; five sons, Edmund, Alfons, John, Leonard, and Louis, all at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Cuba of Geona; five sisters, Mrs. Charles Krzycki of Monroe, Mrs. John Tarnick, and Mrs. Edward Stopak of Fullerton, Mrs. John Paprocki of Tarnov and Miss Stella Cuba of Genoa and seven brothers, Ben of Geona, Adolph of Ogallala, John of Cedar Rapids, Joe and Felix of Genoa, and Isadore and Stephen at home. Funeral Services will be held Friday at St. Peter's and Paul's church at Cracow. Burial will be made in the parish cemetery there. 150 men are clearing the roads between the home and the church.
