Son of John B. & Mary (Zelazny) Cuba. Married to Leona Stopak on 11-16-1920. ------------- Thanks to contributor #48796369; ADOLPH CUBA DIES AFTER LINGERING ILLNESS Adolph E. Cuba, about 50, died at the Veterans Hospital in Hot Springs, S.D. where he had been a patient for several months. Born in Krakow community the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Cuba he spent his early years at home. He was a veteran of World War One and had duty overseas. After his marriage to the former Leona Stopak, Mr. and Mrs. Cuba spent their years farming. After fifteen years of farming in the Ogallala community they moved back to this community six years ago, where they continued to farm until his health gave out. Survivors include his wife, four daughters, Mae, formerly of Columbus, Helen, Maxine and Eileen all at home, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Cuba of Genoa, six brothers and five sisters. The body will arrive in Grand Island at 9 p.m. Wednesday accompanied by his wife and children, and be brought to the Fleming Funeral Home in Silver Creek. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. War Time, at St. Peter and Paul church, Krakow, with burial in the parish cemetery. Silver Creek Sand, March 10, 1944
