The Bonham Daily Favorite 22 Jan 1993 Cressia R. Turman GOBER - Funeral services for Cressia Ruth Turman, age 87, of Gober, who died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1993 at North Texas Medical Center in McKinney will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. William Andy McDonald will officiate. Burial will be in the Gober Cemetery. Mrs. Turman was born in Flippin, Arkansas, July 26, 1905, the daughter of John Thomas Baker and Arbia Zenia Holland Baker. She married Roy Alton Turman, July 28, 1921 in Gober and he preceded her in death June 10, 1991. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Turman was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a member and past President of the Home Demonstration Club and was named Woman of the Year in 1970. She was a member and active in the Gober Community Club. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Turman in 1988. Survivors include a son, James Neal Turman of Plano; two daughters, Sybil Crim of Farmersville and Reba Doris Moore of Rusk; ten grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Turman's grandsons will be pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from 7 until 9 p.m. tonight. Cressia, born to born to John Thomas "Pat" Baker and Arbia "Arby" Zena Holland, was one child out of five., was one child out of five. Cressia married Roy Alton Turman.
