My Grandfather - Tammy Dice Jones OBITUARY : The Madill Record 7/19/1978 - Frank Earl Dice, 74, Dies Sun An illness discovered only two weeks ago claimed the life of Frank Earl Dice, 74, of Madill Sunday. Mr. Dice, a radio dispatcher and jailer for Marshall County, died in an Oklahoma City hospital. He had entered the hospital early last week for treatment of a broken arm sustained in a fall July 6. It was during the treatment that doctors discovered Mr. Dice had cancer. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the Madill Assembly of God Church where he was a member. Rev. Laster Holt officiated. He was assisted by Rev. Dueward Hendricks. Music was arranged by Russell and Faye Henderson with burial in the Oakland Cemetery. Service arrangements and the interment were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home. Casket escorts were Lewis Arnold. C.B. Forguson, Lonnie Graves, Billie Jack Hewitt, Clifford McAdoo, Elmer Wallace, R.V. Walling and Bryan Williams. Mr. Dice was born Sept. 15, 1903, in Hill County, Texas. He came to Marshall County at an early age and lived the remainder of his life in this area. He and Jessie Lee McAdoo were married in Powell July 29, 1927. His wife preceded him in death last March 19 Most of his adult life was spent working in the oil fields. He had, in recent years, worked in law enforcement as a dispatcher-jailer. Surviving Mr. Dice are three sons, J.E. of Dallas, Leon of El Paso and Narvin Dice of Madill, and three daughters, Mrs. Maryion Hampton of Madill and Deloris Dice and Mrs. Rita Lemmons, both of Oakland. Other survivors include 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother ,Clarence McDearmon of McKinney, Tex, and two sisters, Katie Parks and Grace Hamlett, from Madill
