Bio

Funeral services for Mrs. Maryion Eulalah Hampton, 75, of Ardmore are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Rev. Morgan Ashworth officiating. Burial will follow at Hewitt Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson. Maryion was born June 30, 1933 at Enos, Okla., to the late Mr. Frank Earl and Mrs. Jessie Lee (McAdoo) Dice. She went to be with the Lord Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 6, 2009, at Ardmore. Maryion was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had an undying faith in God. She loved gospel music and going to camp, singing in the Mountain at North Carolina every summer. She cherished every birthday and holiday that the whole family could get together. She and her husband, Mr. William D. "Bo" Hampton, were united in marriage Nov. 26, 1969, at Madill. They always enjoyed going somewhere every weekend. Sometimes they went to the flea markets, where Maryion loved to see all the puppies and sometimes to Mardels, where she usually found a new CD to add to her already extensive collection of gospel music. Often they enjoyed just going to visit with friends and family. She loved dogs, but would never have one of her own, she liked to go too much! So, she loved her "grand dogs" and collected beanie baby dogs. Maryion was an excellent seamstress and worked at the Pants Factory in Madill and Ardmore before it closed. She then went to work at the Gloria Ainsworth Day Care Center until August of 2007, when she became too ill to work any longer. Preceding her in death were her parents; mother-in-law, Ruby Hampton; brother, Narvin Dice; two nephews, Charles Dice and Phillip Dice; son-in-law, Richard Amant; two brothers-in-law, Wilburn Hampton and Arvil Underwood; and sister-in-law, Virgie Wilkins. Survivors include husband William D. "Bo" Hampton of the home in Ardmore; two daughters, Dianna Worden and husband Rick of Paoli and Vicky Howard and husband Randy of Ringling; two sisters, Rita Gustafson and husband Sparky of Sadler, Texas, and Delois Dice of Madill; two brothers, J.E. Dice and wife Joy of Lewisville, Texas, and Leon Dice and wife Janelle of Cumberland; sisters-in-law, Mary Dice of Madill, Alice Underwood of San Angelo, Texas, and Linda Hampton of Kingston; grandchildren, Craig Ray and wife Robbyn, April Brown and husband Corey, Kimberly Denton and husband Eric, Melissa Wright, Jennifer Kinsey and husband Ben, Sean Robertson and wife Sylena, and Linsey Robertson; great-grandchildren, Jaylin, Kyren and Brooklyn Turner, James and Bryar Norman, Maggie Jones, Chloe Wright, and Etahn and Katy Kinsey; numerous nieces and nephews and other family.
