Funeral for Margaret Stoller, a Swiss immigrant who had lived in the Portland area 94 years, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Skyline Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be in Skyline Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Stoller died Friday in a local care center. She was 95. She was born in Adelboden, Switzerland, and came to the United States with her family as an infant. Her family settled in Hillsboro, where she attended school. After her marriage, she moved to Northwest Portland, where she lived for 75 years. Mrs. Stoller was active in Bethany Bible Church and was a member of the congregation when it was known as Germantown Methodist Church. A longtime teacher in Sunday school and Bible school, she was superintendent of the church's Sunday school for 25 years. During the 1950's, she was instrumental in getting the church remodeled. Survivors include four sons, Wilbur and Harvey, both of Dayton, Earl of Aurora and Elmer of Independence; three daghters, Margaret Stoller of Portland, Florence Croeni of Hillsboro and Elsie Dickerson of Camas, Wash.; 20 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. The family suggest that remembrances be contributions to Bethany Bible Church. The Oregonian, Monday, July 1, 1985, page B-3, column 1-2
