The Columbian Wednesday, October 13, 2004 In Memoriam (paid notices) Elsie S. Dickerson Elsie S. Dickerson died suddenly on October 9th, 2004 following surgery for the removal of a brain tumor. She was born in Beaverton, Oregon on October 8th, 1923 to Abraham and "Maggie" Stoller. Elsie married L.E. "Dick" Dickerson on December 31st. 1942. She lived in the Camas-Washougal area the remainer of her life. Elsie and her husband Dick have owned Westlie Ford and Mercury of Camas since 1961. The business is currently managed by their sons. She drove a school bus for the Camas School District for 26 years and was often invited to the graduations and weddings of the students that rode on her bus. Elsie is survived by her husband, Dick, her sons, Mike and Randy, of Camas; her brother and sister-in-law, Elmer and Geraldene Stoller of Rickreall, Oregon; her sister-in-law Marilyn Stoller of Canby, Oregon, her sister-in-law, Lea Hoogs of Portland, and grandchildren, Ryan and Bret Dickerson of Camas, and Shelly LaFrance of Vancouver. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers. Her whole life revolved around her family and friends. She loved people, animals and flowers. Elsie over the years became a mom, grandmother, aunt,friend, confidant and caregiver for many more thanbshe probably knew. Elsie left a wonderful legacy that has touched many peoples lives. The Dickerson family would like to give a special thanks to Bob and Leah Durrant of Rainbow Family Home for all their love and support. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Grace Foursquare Church located at 717 SE Everett Rd. in Camas. A private interment will be at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery in Washougal. Straub's Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the memorial fund at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 1206 NE Birch St., Camas, WA 98607.
