MOLLIE SMITH DIES. Widow of Railway Engineer Was Lifelong Resident of Memphis. Mrs. Mollie Ringwald Smith, 713 Jackson Avenue, widow of the late Alexander Smith, died at her residence at 6 o'clock last night. Mrs. Smith was a lifelong resident of Memphis. Before her marriage in 1881 to Mr. Smith she was Miss Mollie Ringwald, daughter of a wholesale grocer of this city. Mr. Smith was a railway engineer and was employed by the L. & N. Railroad for more than 40 years. He died in 1911. Surviving Mrs. Smith are four daughters, Mrs. George P. Pope, Mrs. Floye Burmeister, Mrs. P. D. Mingledorff and Mrs. Robert H. Kincaid; a son, Eugene A. Smith : a sister, Mrs. O. B. Barnett, and one brother, Paul Ringwald. Funeral arrangements had not been completed last night. They are in charge of J. T. Hinton & Son. Pope, Mrs. Floye Burmeister, Mrs. P. D. Mingledorff, Mrs. R. H. Kincaid and Eugene A. Smith; sister of Mrs. O. B. Barnett and Paul Ringwald. Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Dr. T. W. Lewis, will be held at residence this (Tuesday) afternoon at 3 o'clock. Friends are invited. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery. J. T. Hinton & Son. Funeral services for Mrs. Mollie Ringwald Smith, 63, who died Sunday afternoon from heart attack as she sat in a chair, will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the residence, 713 Jackson Avenue. Rev. T. W. Lewis will conduct the services and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was the widow of the late Alexander Smith, who was an engineer on the Louisville & Nashville Railroad. She gained many friends during her life, all of which was spent in Memphis. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Home Mission Society. J. T. Hinton & Son have charge of the funeral arrangements. Active pallbearers: W. M. Campbell, Ray Dunscomb, Elmer Dowling, Daniel Ellis, Robert Ringwald, Dr. J. W. Scheilbler, Sr., W. F. Wolbrecht, Leonard William and John Weddle. Mrs. Smith was the mother of Mrs. George P. Pope, Mrs. Floye Burmeister, Mrs. P. D. Mingledorff, Mrs. B. H. Kincaid and Eugene A. Smith, and the sister of Mrs. O. B. Barnett and Paul Ringwald.
