Baptized Emma Floye Smith on 6 July 1884 according to Missouri Lutheran Church records. The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, Tennessee, Friday, October 20, 1972 Mrs. Floye S. Burmeister, 89, of 235 South McLean, died yesterday at 12:45 a.m. at Medicenter. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Memphis Funeral Home on Union with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Jeanette Keith of Jackson, Miss.; a son, Dee Fowler of Chicago; a brother, Eugene A. Smith of Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. Edna S. Pope and Mrs. P. D. Mingledorff both of Memphis, and five grandchildren.
