Stevenson, Ralph Daily Record, Nov. 26, 1984 Ralph "Bill" Stevenson, 81-year old Lawrence County native, died about 4 a.m. today in his home on Richland Avenue in Effingham. Born October 16, 1903, in Lawrence County, he was a son of Riley and Barbara Cochran Stevenson. He was married to Grace Stevenson, who preceded him in death as did six brothers and one sister. Surviving are three sons, Jim Stevenson and Bernie Stevenson, both of Effingham, and Paul Stevenson of Florida; one daughter, Cathy Stevenson of Effingham; and one brother, Lindsay Stevenson of Lawrenceville. Mr. Stevenson was a retired railroad worker. Funeral rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham, followed by interment in that city. Friends can call in the funeral home Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m.
