Bio
Funeral rites for Lyman O. Stevenson will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday from Emmons-Macey Funeral home with the Rev. Phil Young officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery west of Sumner. The family request that in lieu of floral offerings, memorials be made to the American Heart Association. A 69-year-old Route 3 Lawrenceville resident, Mr. Stevenson died about noon Sept. 16 in University Hospital, Madison, Wis. He was born in Lawrence County, Jan. 28, 1912, a son of Riley R. and Barbara Jane Cochran Stevenson. He was married to Thelma June Earnest, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Harry Stevenson of Lawrenceville; one daughter, Barbara Eberly of Route 3 Lawrenceville; three brothers, Lindsay Stevenson of Lawrenceville, Ralph Stevenson of Effingham and Edwin Stevenson of Vincennes, Ind.; and five grandchildren. Mr. Stevenson was a retired Texaco, Inc. DCU unit stillman, member and deacon of Pleasant Ridge Christian Church. He also was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Birds, 32nd Degree Mason in the Belleville Consistory and past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star. Lawrenceville Daily Record, Sept. 18, 1981
