Barbara Cochran Stevenson 70, died Nov 2 1948 at her residence in Lawrence Co. IL. She was born Dec 13 1878 in Lawrence Co. IL., daughter of Jacob Cochran and Susan Zehner. She was married 3 Feb 1901 to Riley R. Stevenson, he survives. Survived by her husband and 8 children. The children are: Mrs. Alfred Earnest of Quincy, Ralph of Effingham, and Veris, Clyde, Lyman, Lindsay, Bertis and Edwin Stevenson all of this county. There are also 19 grandchildren who survive. She was preceded in death, by 5 children. Funeral is 2 p.m. in the Dollahan Methodist Church at Pinkstaff with the Rev. Roy Hudson in charge. Burial will be in Derr Cemetery. *** (Ann Harmon Govers)
