Lincoln Journal Star Tuesday, April 17, 2012 Francis J. Lanik, 83 years, of Davey, died Sunday, April 15, 2012 at his home. U.S. Army Korean War veteran. Born July 13, 1928 in Wahoo to Frank and Rose (Brtek) Lanik. Survived by wife, Mildred; daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Terry Catlin, Lincoln; grandchildren, Nicholas Lanik, Amanda Neville, Stephanie Holka, Jeffrey (Erica) Holka, Charles Holka; seven great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Godfrey and Joyce Lanik, Ceresco, Darlene Ehlers, Wahoo, Ven and Willa Lanik, Lincoln, Larry and Mardell Lanik, Bryant, Wis., Ralph and Irene Lanik, Tucson, Ariz., Joyce Lanik, Wahoo; sister and brother-in-law, Rosemarie and Al Cermak, Milpitas, Calif.; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by son, Bradley Lanik; brothers, Leo and Bernie Lanik. Mass of Christian Burial: 10 a.m. Friday (4/20/12) St. Mary's Catholic Church, Davey. Interment with military honors by A.L. #244; St. Mary's Cemetery. Svoboda Funeral Home, Wahoo in charge of the arrangements. ∼ Father of Bradley J. Lanik
