Jerry M. Hoffman Jerry M. Hoffman, 55, of North Platte, passed away April 11, 2012, at his home. He was born July 27, 1956, in Kearney to Darwin and Arline (LeDroit) Hoffman. He attended school and graduated from Litchfield High School. On June 18, 1977, he married Robyn Unick in Pleasanton. Jerry worked for 26 years at the Eaton Corporation. In 2006, he and his wife moved to North Platte and Jerry was hired on at the UPRR as a diesel electrician. He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Lake Maloney Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Those who were friends to him, knew him as a kind and gentle man. Survivors include his wife, Robyn, of North Platte; daughter, Jessica (Zach) Leach, of Saint Libory; son, Nathan Hoffman, of Kearney; mother, Arline Slocum, of Kearney; sister, Brenda (Kevin) Maulsbury, of Aurora; brother, Tim (Diane) Hoffman, of Loup City; several nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in North Platte with the Rev. Robert Wiest officiating.
