Bio

Sadie Mable Odoms Rhoades was a small women with a fisty spirit. she had black hair and brown eyes. when the light shined on her hair it would shine blue like a raven's. She grew up on the plains of Nebraska and that is were she met her husband Benjamin A Rhoades who was working in the area of Gibbon Nebraska. Sadie was the 4th of 6 children and her parents were Charles McNeal and Rachel Catherin Millikin Odoms. Sadie had 3 brothers and 2 sisters. her siblings were Carl, Carrie Leah, Joseph N, Russll, and Blanche Odoms. after she married Ben they lived in Nebraska, Colorado, & Missouri settleing in Amoret Missouri. Sadie was a hard worker and raised 11 children, Floyd Russle, Walter Fay, Effie Lavina, Leauretta Frances, Evrett Andrew, Milldred Oakley, Richard Harold, Dorothy Mae, Benjamin Arnold Jr. and Gladys Marie Rhoades. Sadie was my grandmother and I have many happy memories of staying at her little home in Amoret. She is buried beside her husband Benjamin A Rhoades.
