Fort Bend Herald, September 6, 2007: Funeral services for Alice Louise Tielke, age 90, of Beasley, TX, are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, September 8, 2007, at Friedens United Church of Christ in Beasley, TX. Burial will follow in Friedens United Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Friday, September 7, 2007, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel in Rosenberg, TX. Mrs. Tielke was born December 10, 1916, in Brenham, TX, to Martin Preuss and Elsbeth Loesch Preuss. She passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at Fort Bend Health Care Center in Rosenberg, TX. Alice met her future husband, Lee Roy Tielke, at Fairchild Hall where he declare them the "best dancers on the floor".Throughout their married life, they loved to go dancing. They were married almost 60 years when Lee Roy passed away. Alice was a loving mother to her children. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were equally loved. Alice was known as "Pamper" to her grandchildren. great grandchildren, and their friends. She is survived by two daughters, Janette VanGossen and her husband, Daniel, and Sandra Startz and her husband, Larry; two sons, Troy Tielke and Gary Tielke; grandchildren: Connie Zdunkewicz and husband, Stephen, Suzanne Zurovec and husband, Paul, Donnie VanGossen and wife, Susie, Ronnie VanGossen and wife, Heidi, Dax Startz and wife, Colette, Reed Startz and wife, Darcie, and Ross Startz; great grandchildren: Jade, Laney and Daegan Fowler, Cole and Cade Zurovec, Ryder and Kyler VanGossen, Cody VanGossen and wife, Edith, Mackenzie and Morgan VanGossen, Amanda Kuban, Taylor Zdunkewicz, Kaylee Startz, and Keegan Startz; sister, Wilma Mesecke; brother-in-law, Melvin Tielke and wife, Willie Mae; sisters-in-law, Viola Fuchs and husband, Clarence, Caroline Macik and husband, Frank, Ora Lee Lamensky and husband, Clarence, Margie Janacek, and Eleanor Tielke; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Tielke; parents, Martin and Elsbeth Preuss; brothers-in-law, Raymond Tielke and Hiton (Pete) Mesecke; and inlaws, Minnie and Willie Tielke. The family wishes to thank Fort Bend Health Care Center for the loving care provided to their Mother for the past 5 years. Memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Tielke to Friedens United Church of Christ, Beasley, TX, or to the Beasley Volunteer Fire Department.
