Fort Bend Herald, April 12, 2013: Funeral services for Gary Lee Tielke, 60, of Beasley, TX, will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Frieden's United Church of Christ, Beasley, TX 77417, with The Rev. Paul Longstreth officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471. Gary passed away on April 12, 2013, at Katy Memorial Herman Hospital. He was born January 12, 1953, the son of Lee Roy and Alice (Preuss) Tielke. Gary worked at the Herald Coaster while in high school. After graduation from LCHS, he was a machinist at Peabody Dore for many years. Gary attended church faithfully and loved his church family. He loved visiting and laughing with his Coffee group friends. He had a pleasant way of making you laugh. He is survived by a brother, Troy Tielke, and two sisters: Sandra Startz and husband Larry, Janette Van Gossen and husband Daniel; nieces and nephews: Dax Startz and wife Colette, Reed Startz and wife Darcie, and Ross Startz, Connie Van Gossen, Suzanne Zurovec and husband Paul, Donnie Van Gossen and wife Susie, Ronnie Van Gossen and wife Heidi; great nieces and nephews: Kaylee Startz, Keegan, Logan, and Gavin Startz, Cole and Cade Zurovec, Laney and Daegen Fowler, Ryder and Kyler Van Gossen, Madelyn Medve, Amanda Koone and husband Matt, Cody Van Gossen and wife Edith, Morgan and Mackenzie Van Gossen; aunts and uncles: Viola Fuchs and husband Clarence, Eleanor Tielke, Melvin Tielke (Godfather) and wife Willie Mae (Godmother), Ora Lee Lamensky, Caroline Macik(Godmother), and Margie Janacek. Gary is also survived by numerous cousins and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy and Alice Tielke; grandparents, Willie and Minnie Tielke, Martin and Elsbeth Preuss; uncles, Raymond Tielke, Frank Macik, Clarence Lamensky, and cousin Connie Tielke. Gary gave us love and taught us patience and to have compassion for those with disabilities.
