Mrs. Josef Perina Rites in Clarkson Funeral services for Mrs. Josef Perina, 70, Madison, NE were held Saturday, Nov. 4, 1967 at 10:30 a.m. at the New Zion Presbyterian Church in Clarkson. The Rev. Sidney Raymond officiated at the church services and at the interment in the Clarkson Bohemian National Cemetery. Ladislav Krejsa, Jr., Clarkson, represented the ZCBJ Lodge at the interment. Pallbearers were Emil Studnicka, Ralph Dicey, Arnold Kratochvil, Neal Pohlman, don Chleboun, and Eldon Hrouda. Resseguie Funeral Home of Madison was in charge of arrangements. Emma Perina, daughter of Vaclav and Anna Kvetensky, was born in Sucha Lhota, Bohemia on August 15, 1897. She came to the United States in May of 1910 at the age of 12 and settled on a farm for a short time west of Clarkson, then to a farm north of Clarkson, and finally settled south of Clarkson with her parents. In 1915 she was joined in marriage to Josef Perina. In 1922 they moved to their farm north of Creston, where they resided until they retired to Madison in 1960 to their home at 452 East 2nd Street. She was a member of the New Zion Presbyterian Church in Clarkson and was a member of ZCBJ Lodge #28 for 41 years. In failing health during the past year, she passed away at the Shawnee Mission, Kansas hospital. She is survived by her husband, Josef; as son Lambert of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; a daughter Mildred Bebout of Seaside, CA, and three grandchildren, Martin and Dean Perina and Linda Bebout. She is also survived by six brothers and three sisters. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
