James also had two other brothers, Jaroslav (B. 3-29-1909 Sucha Lhota, CZ D. 1-13-1968 Schuyler, NE) and Bohumil (B. 5-12-1921 Adam's Precinct, Colfax Co., NE D. 3-24-1941 Norfolk, NE). Both are buried in the Clarkson, NE cemetery.

Services Held Monday For James Kvetensky Funeral services for James P. Kvetensky, age 86 of Clarkson, were held Monday, March 23, 1992 at 10:30 a.m. at the New Zion Presbyterian Church in Clarkson. Rev. Dr. William Nottage-Tacey officiated. Clarkson V.F.W. Post #6419 held graveside military services. Pallbearers were Lambert Perina, Don Chleboun, Eldon Hrouda, Joe Kvetensky, Neal Pohlman, and Warren Kvetensky. James Kvetensky, the son of Vaclav and Anna (Nunvar) Kvetensky was born in Sucha Lhota, Bohemia July 4, 1905. The family came to the United States in 1910 and settled north of Clarkson. In 1915 the family moved to a farm southeast of Clarkson known as the Sousek Place. Jim received his education in school district 40 and 21 in the Clarkson area. He entered the U.S. Army in May of 1942 serving in the Aleutian Islands as an airplane and engine mechanic. He was honorably discharged in 1945 and returned to farming with his brothers near Rogers, NE. In 1971 he retired and moved to Clarkson. In July of 1990 he moved to the Parkview Nursing Home in Dodge. He died at Parkview on Friday, March 20, 1992. He was a member of the New Zion Presbyterian Church in Clarkson and was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post #6419. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Emil (Lillian) Studnicka of Clarkson, a brother Emil of Brainard, and nieces of and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and seven sisters.
