Constance Martha Pariset Owens Obit Constance Martha Owens, 96, Seward, died Nov. 17, 2003, in Seward. She was born Feb. 6, 1907, in Seward County to Victor and Augustine (Rousselle) Pariset. She attended high school and assisted families with housework in the Seward area. She married Cleo Cecil Owens on Jan 21, 1927, in Seward. The couple lived and farmed near Tamora for 40 years before moving to Seward in 1967. Mrs. Owens was a member of Tamora Methodist Church and Women's Society. She belonged to the Willing Workers Extension Club. She enjoyed bowling with her husband and crocheting afghans for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo Owens; an infant child; sisters, Evangeline Burkey and Juliette Newton; and brothers, Charles and Arthur Pariset. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Delmar Borchers, Utica; sons and daughters-in-law, Rex and Wanda Owens, Seward, and Kenneth and Sharon Owens, Utica; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Nov. 20 at the United Methodist Church in Seward, with the Rev Eric Ford officiating. Casket bearers were Bruce and Brett Borchers, Mark, Matthew and Stacey Owens, Bill Schuman and Richard Pariset. Interment was at Seward Cemetery.
