From the "Blue Valley Blade," July 19, 1916: Victor Joseph Pariset was born Alsace-Lorraine July 2nd, 1873, and died at his home in Seward County, Nebraska, July 4, 1916, aged 43 years and 2 days. He was united in marriage to Augustina Rousselle in 1902, coming to America in 1905 and settled in Seward County, Nebr. He served several years in the German army, being a member of the Kaiser's bodyguard, a privilege accorded to only a few. He … served time in China. He leaves a wife, two sons and three daughters and many other relatives and friends to mourn the loss.
