Bio

Herald Coaster, March 17, 1975: Funeral services for Mrs. Otto (Emilie) Zwahr, 75, of Damon, were held at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Damon, with the Rev. Marion Vance officiating. Burial was in the Needville Public Cemetery. Mrs. Zwahr died Saturday morning in a Wharton hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Damon. Survivors include her husband, Otto Zwahr, three sons, Roy and Clifford Zwahr, both of Damon, and Edward Zwahr of Freeport; two daughters, Mrs. Isabell Matthews of Rosenberg and Mrs. Adeline Graeber of Needville; two brothers, Edward and Arnold Petrusek, both of Needville; two sisters, Mrs. Albina Psencik and Mrs. Elsie Sitta, both of Needville; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church in Damon. Services were under the direction of Garmany & Co. Funeral Directors of Needville.
