Isabell was born December 6, 1916, in Needville, TX, to Otto and Emily Zwahr. She went home to her Lord on May 23, 2014. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Needville, TX. Isabell read her Bible daily, reading it completely through several times. She had a beautiful sense of humor and a positive attitude about everything, always smiling and laughing. She enjoyed canning fresh garden vegetables and jellies, and she was an amazing cook and baker. Quilting gave her great pleasure, and she made so very many beautiful quilts. She loved to fish anywhere, as long as she had a line in the water. Isabell loved day trips, but she always wanted to be home at night to sleep in her own bed. She still drove her own car - a 2002 Mustang. She had a brilliant mind, and everyone will miss her wonderful story telling ability. Family and friends were very special to her, making it important to acknowledge and celebrate birthdays and holidays. Her family will cherish her memory as the most loving, caring, wonderful Mother and Grandmother. Welcoming her into Heaven were her parents; her husband, John William (Bill) Matthews; sister, Adeline Graeber; and three brothers, E. E. (Buddy) Zwahr, Roy Zwahr, and Clifford Zwahr. Survivors include three daughters, Marie Zwahr and husband, George, Fayette Toellner and husband, Wayne, and Connie Williams and husband, Sid; 6 grandchildren, Tammy Zwahr, Troy Zwahr and wife, Kathryn, Gary Reinecker, Jr. and wife, Lana, Bradley Reinecker and wife, Roxanne, Cheyanne Forshee and husband, Brian, and Sheena Sopchak and husband, Kyle; 9 great grandchildren, Matthew Zwahr and wife, Alyssa, Stephen Zwahr, Brittany Zwahr, Creede Reinecker and wife, Lauren, Morgan Reinecker, Braden Reinecker, Hailey Forshee, Hunter Forshee, and Hannah Forshee; 2 great great grandchildren, Faith Zwahr and Weston Reinecker; and many, many other loving family members and friends.
