Cedar Rapids Gazette, Friday, April 20, 1984, page 14A Mary J. Benyshek, 76, died at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, Thursday night. She entered the hospital Tuesday. She was born Nov. 28, 1907, in Concordia, Kan., and married Wesley V. Benyshek there on May 2, 1928. They moved to a farm in rural Solon in 1948 and to the city in 1981. Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Marcella Klein of Oxford, and JoAnn Brown of Brownsville, Texas; two sons, Douglas of Tempe, Ariz., and Victor of Allerton, Ill.; a stepson, Darrell Hoffman of San Diego, Calif,; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services: Saturday 11 a.m. at Beckman-Callahan Funeral Home. Burial: Memorial Garden's Cemetery, Iowa City. Visitation after 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
